Jack Roosevelt Robinson era and what happened.Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play professional baseball that wasn't in the Negro leagues. He was segregated very badly but proved that all can play.The event took place in the major leagues and all around the U.S..The event was important to our history because without a man who stood up for our rights we might have not had all stars like Michael Jordan,Serena Williams or any others. -

Lynda B. Johnson started medicare/medicaid in 1965 which helped pay bills for elders. Since elders are at the doctor more then younger people and they are retired it was hard to keep up with the bills.So they started a program to help them pay for there bills.The event took place around the nation.The event is important because its a good cause but it is also wasting a lot of the U.S. money paying some money for many elders.It affected the economy by taking and spending money. on hospital bills. -

Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. MLK was killed on April 4, 1968 outside his hotel room. He was sniped and it shot many people were shocked and was hard to deal with. The event took place in Memphis, Tennessee outside his hotel room. -
Robert F. Kennedy assassination
Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated on 1968 in Los Angeles. He was shot right after he announced there will be no more divisions. The event took place at a hotel in L.A. on June 6 1968.It impacted the society and because that was the second time a president was assassinated in recent times.It also impacted politics because we lost a president and now we have to switch presidents and what they are doing. -

The Watergate robbery in 1972.The event was a robbery that happened and they connected the phones to see if the government was hiding anything.It impacted the society because they all probably thought something fishy was going on that he didn't want them knowing about. -

Hurricane Katrina was one of the biggest hurricane ever.The hurricane damaged so many things and cost a lot of money about 100 billion dollars of damage.Many people were moved from there homes on the coast of the U.S.The event took place from August 23, 2005 till about August 31,2005 and damaged more things then you could imagine.It impacted not only society but the economy also.The society was heart broke even if nothing happened to them or there things and the economy lost lots of things.
