Baby Boom
Baby Boom was a time after war where they had a lot of kids they had a lot of kids to repopulate and they did it because they were out of depression they made over 29 million were born during that time and a lot of kids grew up to be in the military later on. A lot of people were happy to see people repopulating but we were already still overpopulated and many people were excited to see more remade. It impacted the U.S. and economy by repopulating the earth and gave people the time. -
Truman Doctrine/ Marshall plan
The Truman Doctrine plan is a very important plan that Truman got concerned on he got concerned about growing communist strength it asked congress for 4 million dollars in military aid for Greece and Turkey to stop communism communism from spreading there in March 1947. It impacted the U.S. by taking money and they were fine to do because they were stopping communism and to end all of that. -
Korean War
75,000 troops were spread out along the 38th parallel what happened was that there were fights about international communism in Korea. This took place at the 38th parallel which is in north Korea and a little border on south Korea. This was important because there were 5 million people killed all throughout the war and many were remembered for what they did as good. It impacted a lot of people in society because a lot of people died from this very important and sad event -
Brown Vs Board
Brown vs board was very important because it was known as an important event that went to the supreme court and it was set to be for colored men and women to get out of segregated schools because the white schools are closer to their houses so they took it to to the supreme court because it wasn't even the colored schools got payed less as teachers and they didn't get good enough books they were out of date and didn't have enough to learn about. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
Soviet Union gave Cuba weapons but an american U-2 Spy plane took pictures of the missiles that they had pointed right at us JFK told Americans about the situations with the missile sites pointed right at us and there was a huge panic Soviet Union had ships come into Cuba but we stopped them from coming in because we had guns pointed right at them and then they just turned away and went back into the Soviet Union and then all of us had a treaty and gave up nuclear weapons to make us more trusted -
Vietnam War
The Vietnam war was a very important event and almost more than 50,000 people were killed in the conflict. The Vietnam War costed a lot because they used a lot of guns against south Vietnam the reason they were fighting because they were fighting for religion and many were not wanting to be the religion and they started fighting about it and many people were killed because of it many were part of U,S,A and they were just fighting because of that.
