    The UN was formed in 1945 at the Yalta conference. It was a peace keeping organization that has 6 major bodies. There are 193 countries in the UN However there are only 5 permanent members of the UN and they are The United States , England, France, Russia, and China. As part of the UN they have 4 major goals which are Solve disputes, solve disease and hunger, improve education and lastly provide vaccines. The UN affects society by improving cures and vaccines for sickness and better education.

    The Vietnam war was South Vietnam (democratic) vs. North Vietnam (communist) America Helped South Vietnam. North Vietnam won. People in America were mad they went to war and protested about going. Peace talks began in 1973. In Cambodia 1 million Cambodians died due to brutal reigns of terror. This affected society by how We sent people to war and lost which made people feel bad about the war.

    Rosa Parks born in 1913 in Alabama. On December 1, 1955 she refused to give up her seat to a White Passenger. It was an effort to end segregation and the Jim Crow Laws. This event Integrated the buses after a year of boycotting. She wrote a book called my Story and was a biography about herself. She won many awards such as The Presidential medal of Freedom and Congressional Medal. This is important because it introduced non violent protest as a method for social equality.

    Berlin was split in two after WWII and one half was turned communist and the other have was a democracy. 3 million East Berliners moved to West Berlin to become a Democracy. This embarrassed the Soviet Union so over night they Built the Berlin Wall 69 1/2 miles made of concrete and barbed wire. Anyone who tried to get over was killed.

    Robert Kennedy was JFK's brother and was at the Ambassador Hotel on June 4th, 1968 he was walking through the kitchen to get to where he needed to be when Sirhan Sirhan shot him 3 times once in the head and twice in the chest. He didn't die until June 6th. The importance of this event is that all future presidential candidates have secret service.

    The Kent State Massacre happened on May 4th, 1970 and students were protesting about Nixon sending more troops to Cambodia. There was no weapons of any sort from the protesters however the police bayoneted and clubbed people. They started chanting and throwing rocks when 28 National Guardsmen shot 61 bullets killing 4 and wounding 9. This affects society by how people were upset by the outcome of the massacre and how the students and professors were found guilty.

    He was Ronald Reagan's vice president was President from 1988-1992. He went skydiving on his 80th, and 90th birth day he also opened trade with the Soviet Union. During his term the Berlin Wall fell. This effected society by the people felt safer about the cold war coming to an end.

    Bill Clinton was elected in 1992 and his 2nd term ended in 2000 He was the Governor of Arkansas and his impact was he lowered the Deficit. He also signed the Test Ban Treaty and sent 20,000 troops to Bosnia.

The importance is that it was an easy way for people to connect with each other. The impact is that it changed the way we interact with each other. Social Network Revolution affects society by how we interact with people.

    In October 2001 the U.S went over to Afghanistan and in March 2003 they went to Iraq. Iraq and Afghanistan could have had weapons of mass destruction. They were trying to take oil and The U.S was trying to stop terrorists and in response to 9/11. there was no evidence found of weapons of mass destruction. This led to an occupation of American troops for over a decade. This led to the capture of Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden There were about 6,886 casualties and cost about $4-6 trillion.
