    The Yalta Conference took place in Russia in Crimea from February 4-11, 1945. Franklin D. Roosevelt made important decisions on the future of the war and what would happen after the war ended.     The Korean War began on June 25, 1950. Around 75,000 soldiers from North Koreas army crossed the 38th parallel in order to get into South Korea. Then the United States joined and decided to make an agreement with the Soviet Union to cut Korea into two known as South Korea and North Korea. This was a turning point of the war because it helped the United States contain communism.

    The Berlin Wall was created in 1961 and lasted until 1989. This wall was created to cut off east Berlin from West Berlin. The wall was built by the German Democratic Republic
