    The United Nations led by the United States helped South Korea hoping communism from North Korea won't spread to South Korea. The communist countries, China, and USSR gave military, and weapon support to North Korea. The Korean war is one of the reasons why Korea is still separated to this day.

The space race is the reason why we know so much about the space now.

    During the summer of 1962, the Soviet Union gave the new born country Cuba missiles. Shortly after that, the United States out of fear blockaded Cuba, and demanded removal of missiles with threat of nuclear war. October 28th, 1962 the missile was removed from Cuba. GASPIRE theme: psychological: people of the United States at the time were living in fear of missiles everyday. Today we still have people that used to live in the fear, and they know how serious it was.
