    Berlin Blockade
The Berlin Blockade was one of the first major crises of the Cold War. During World War II Germany & Soviet Union blocked the West Allies railway, road, and canal access to Berlin This was important because S.U. wanted complete control of Berlin to cut off their supplies. So for 11 months supplies were flown into Berlin by Trumans piolots instead of drove or carried.
