the Missouri compromise kept the balance between pro slave states and anti slave states the Missouri basically said we are going to let this state keep its slavery and let this state be a free state so they drew and imaginary line and said stay away from each other. -

i think Lincoln's plan was to abolish slavery and keep the country from dividing. He did that by letting people know how bad slavery was and how it affected other people. And he did that by saying hey they are not so different from us just because there skin color is different doesn't mean we should treat them like this. -

the confederate won the battle of Gettysburg and it was a big victory. thousands of soldiers fought and died to protect other peoples rights. -

Lincoln planned to abolish slavery cause he didn't think it was right it wasn't fair to the slaves. He thought why are people keeping and wanting slaves african americans don't deserve to be in slaved by people just because there skin color is different. So Lincoln came up with a plan to abolish slavery forever it wasn't going to be easy cause some states were not going to give up slavery or let there slaves be free.
