    The union broke through Confederate soldiers in the afternoon and forcing them to retreat. The battle was also called Sharpsburg since it took place in Sharpsburg, Maryland also Antietam creek.(georgiainfo)

    Confederates moved their forces and searched various targets, such as Harrisburg,and Pennsylvania.   • 13th, 14th, 15th Amendments and Black Codes

    The 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments abolished slavery, naturalized blacks as U.S. citizens, and allows everyone to vote.     A tenant farmer is a person(s) who gets food, seed, tools, and shelter who works on land and gets a share of crops they produce. in some cases, the land owner tried to take control over the non-farm life of the sharecropper, and even told them how everything was going to work form amount of fertilizer to use to how much seed will be planted.(New Georgia Encyclopaedia)
