  • Montgomery Bus Boycott

    Rosa Parks decide that she did not want to move on the bus for a white man to sit, she was arrested. After the fact, boycotts were happening in Montgomery, Alabama. All African Americans refused to further ride the bus.
  • Little Rock Nine Enforcement

    4 African American students were not allowed into thier school on September 4, 1957, police were involved and the students were arrested.
  • Greensboro Sit-in

    Four African American college students didnt like the segregation laws at counters in Greensboro, North Carolina, so they sat at the counters all day for numerous days. The counters started to open up to all races.
  • Martain Luther King Jr.'s Assassination

    Martain Luther King Jr.'s Assassination
    Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968 by James Earl Ray after his "I have a Dream" speech. At the time he was staying at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee when he was assassinated. Many people were upset because a great leader was now gone.
  • Busing in Charlotte

    Britannica Online Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education had a case on April 20, 1971 about Charlotte busing. The Supreme Court of the Unted States held a program that was meant to speed up any racial conflict of public schools.
