  • When It Really Got Serious

    (1957) The Southern Christian Leadership Conference was co-founded by martin Luther King Jr. to help encourage other people of any color to take up the crusade for civil rights.
  • I Have A Dream

    (1963) There were more than 250,000 people that were in the march on Washington. Martin Luther King Jr. shares his “I Have A Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Witch changed a lot of people’s minds about blacks.
  • Blacks Can Walk Freely In Public

    (1964) The Civil Rights Act was passed. This outlawed racial segregation/discrimination in any public place.
  • The March On Capital

    (1965) King organize a high-profile march from Selma, Alabama, to the state capital of Montgomery to show white people that them of another color will not stand for being mistreated
  • Blacks Can Vote

    (1965) President Johnson signed the Voting Right Act of 1965. Witch made blacks not have to take tests or anything else that would stop them from voting illegal.
  • Riots=Damage

    (1965)On August in Los Angeles some riots break. There are 34 people that die with 1072 injured, they also lasted six days and 4000 were arrested. There was about 40 million dollars in damage and nearly 1000 buildings were destroyed.
  • They Couldn't Go Into A School

    (1957) In Arkansas there were nine black kids that were not aloud to go into a school and they had to get police to escort them into the school.
  • Black's Don't Get Ripped Off With Houses

    (1968)On April 4, 1968 he was assassinated in Memphis,Tennessee on the balcony of his motel by James Earl Ray, only at the age of 39. This was the main reason for the Fair Housing Act to be passed.
  • Blacks And Houses

    (1968)Martin Luther started a campaign for blacks so there is no discrimination in buying/renting houses. So colored people can own/rent without being pushed away because of their skin color.
