    Emmett Louis Till was in Money, Mississippi when he talked to a white woman and was then later that night murdered for doing so.
  • Rosa Parks arrested

    Rosa Parks arrested
    Rosa Parks was an African American who refused to give her seat up to a white person which was against the laws at the time.
    Because of this she was put in jail.

    President Johnson passed this law in order to integrate schools and earn equal rights. It gave the government power to prevent racial discrimination.

    Marshall started out in the legal counsel for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People before becoming a supreme court justice. This was monumental because they were now controlling the law too for even more chances for integration.
