    After Christ died, the holy spirit came down upon the disciples and everyone started speaking in different languages, this was so that the disciples could spread the word of Jesus, to everyone. This happened after the death of christ

    1546- Death Of Martin Luther

    This was the year Martin Luther died, aged 62.

    The Council Of Trent

    The church needed to respond to all the questions that society began questioning the authorities. Questions had to be addressed so that there would be no more confusion, so later on there formed a meeting which was called the council of Trent.

    1530- Martin Luther

    Many German princes and cities signed a
    document called the AugsBurg
    Confession as an expression of the new
    Protestant faith.

    Martin Luther was now banished by the church and Emperor, however by this time he has had already many great popular support. It was at this time that certain groups have used his ideas for revolution. He disaffiliated with the organisation, got married and still continued writing denouncing people who were using his ideas as an excuse for criminal acts.

    Martin Luther was seen preaching throughout central Germany

    1521- Martin Luther

    Martin Luther was excommunicated from the church and was sent to the city of worms to appear before a hearing, which still he refuses to take back his attack against the church. He was then travelling back to Wittenberg and was captured by his own supporters disguised as bandits, which then was taken to safety.

    1520- Martin Luther

    Pope Leo X decided to give him 60 days to recant or face excommunication as all his published books were being destroyed and burned. Martin Luther published the pope a letter apologising but will still continue to spread his word cause he saw corruption and false doctrine

    It was not to long after that Martin Luther wrote a letter to Pope Leo X stating that it was not his intention to question the authority of the church.

    Martin Luther

    In 1517 Martin Luther objected the corruption practises of selling indulgences. With his own belief, he wrote "Disputation on the power and Efficacy of indulgences." which are the "95 theses" that he wrote. It was said that Martin Luther stuck it on a church door and left, however the "95 theses" was quickly dispatched throughout Germany to Rome. 1518 At this point Martin Luther refused to take back his attack against the church and later on Pope Leo X started to kind of approve his ideas.

    The Black Death

    The black plague was a disease that appeared around the middles ages, which drove people made and insane. People thought that God had gave them punishment for doing wrong deeds, so the people gave themselves torment hoping and asking God for forgiveness. People started questioning the church about why it was happening to them and why it wasn't going away even after all the torment they gave to themselves.

    Indulgences

    Naturally the plague left however people still feared that it would come back again, having a decrease in serious outbreaks right through to the seventeenth century. Christians were getting ready for death, if it were to come again and started sending cards, flowers and doing special for one another. This was an attempt to make up for the hurt, even though it had has already been forgiven.

    Abuses Of Indulgences

    After the time of Indulgences, people started to abuse these practises. This was done by the brothers and sisters who falsely claim to have the authority to forgive all sorts of sins and took money from those who believed and respected them, also promising that they were going to have happiness and guaranteed to go to heaven.

    The Reformation

    The reformation of the church was aimed to reform all the catholic churches without corruption. Protestants ' Martin Luther's followers' chose to believe in his '75 theses' whereas there are Catholics who remained faithful to the catholic church which led a split in the church.
