    The Shang Dynasty was overthrown by King Wu (Founder of the Zhou Dynasty) in 1046 ending the Shang Dynasty and starting the Zhou Dynasty. The Shang dynasty was overthrown because their last leader was an evil man who enjoyed torturing people

    The Zhou came to an end during the warring states period when the last emperor was killed. When the Zhou came to an end they had barely any strength left in their empire and took one final blow killing their emperor and the Zhou fell.

    Fall of Han

    The Han dynasty officially fell during the Chinese period of 220 AD. The country was taken over in confusion by the Yellow Turban Rebellion. The last ruler of the Han dynasty was Emporer Xian. This was a huge setback in the history of China.

    Sui Dynasty

    The Sui Dynasty was found in 589CE by Wen Di. It began when his daughter became Empress of Northern Zhou, therefore making her new stepson the Emporer. Wen took over the throne after conquering an army from one of the eastern provinces. Wen used his power to strengthen his empire and reunite China.

    The fall of the Sui Dynasty was mainly caused by the failed military campaigns against Goguryeo. One all of these defeats and losses occurred, the country and its government were left to be taken over by rebels. Emporer Yang ended up being assassinated in 618.

    The Song dynasty lasted from 960 until 1279. It was founded by Emperor Taizu of Song and was divided into two periods; Northern Song and Southern Song. Social life during the Song was vibrant. Citizens gathered to view and trade precious artworks.
