When Amanda was only five years old, she had an idea of how she could surprise her mom for her Birthday that was only a day away. Amanda's dad took Amanda to the craft store to buy art things so Amanda can finish her idea to surprise her mommy. This is a great example of third stage of initiative vs. guild. With her fathers encouragement and his assistant, Amanda felt accomplished by taking an initiative and proud because she made birthday present for her mom all by herself.
