  • Charles Darwin's Birth

    Biologist and naturalist, Charles Darwin, was born in Shrewsbury, England, on February 12, 1809

  • Education

    At the age of 16, Darwin enrolled at the University of Edinburgh.

  • Christ's College

    Darwin transferred to Christ's College in Cambridge

  • College Graduation

    Charles Darwin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1831.

  • HMS Beagle

    On December 27, 1831 Darwin began a 5 year voyage around the world on the HMS Beagle as a naturalist. During this five year survey trip Darwin collected and studied a variety of species including birds and plants.

  • Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle

    Darwin's findings and research were published in "Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle". The first portion of the book (which was 5 parts) was published in February 1838

  • Theory of Evolution
