    The battle of Lepanto was one of the last naval wars fought almost entirely between rowing vessels. It had involved more than 400 ships. The battle lasted decades and the turks won.

    The thirty year war was a war that had lasted 30 years between Spain, the Dutch and Germany.

    The Leviathan or the matter, form and power of common wealth was published in April 1651 by Thomas Hobbes. The work concerns the structure of society and legitimate Government. It is said to be one of the earliest and most influence-able examples of the social Contract theory.

    The spot where St. peters-burg lies was chosen by Peter the great. Peter began by laying the foundation for the Peter Paul fortress and the city at it's walls in may 1703. He decided to build the city to create a new vision for his country.

    The battle of Plassey was fought in North eastern India on June 23rd 1757. The Mogul led army had 50,000 soldiers and the British had just 3.000. The British were huge under dogs but some how won the battle.
