    Also called Magna Carta Libertatum or The Great Charter of the Liberties of England is an angevin charter orginally issued in latin in year 1215. Barons forced King John to sign it.

    Petition of Rights
    A major English constitutional document that sets out specific liberties of the subject that the king is prohibited from infringing. It limited the king's power in several ways.
  • English Bill of Rights

    English Bill of Rights
    It is an Act of the Parliament of England. It was a restatement in statuatory form of the declaration of right presented by the covention parliament to william and mary.

    It is a proposed that a humble application be made for an act of Parliament of Great Britain. Benjamin Franklin created it.

    Statement adopted by the Contential Congress wich announced that the 13 colonies then at war with Great Britain, regarding themselves as independent states.

    Known as the Small State Plan and was a proposal for the structure of the US government presented by William Patterson. The plan would add closely limited powers to tax and regulate trade.

    It was to address problems in governing the USA which had been operating under Articles of Confederation following independence from Great Britain. Wanted to separate the three types of government (legislative, judicial, and exectutive)
