First House Phone
The phone sat on our kitchen counter. We were on a "Party Line" which meant about 6 households shared our same phone number. If your neighbor was talking on her phone, you couldn't use the phone until she hung up. I often had neighbors pick up the phone and tell me to end my conversation. -
