John Brown's Raid
The raid was at the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. The purpose was to arm slaves to start a rebellion. John Brown was killed by a hanging for treason. -
1860 Election
Abraham Lincoln was elected. States started to secede. His first act as president was to ban seceding. Then he tried to protect slaves.
