Causes of the American Revolution

  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts
    A series of Acts passed in the English Parliament. Caused resentment in the colonies and were a major contributing factor to the American Revolution.

    was the North American conflict in a larger imperial war between Great Britain and France known as the Seven Years' War. Was an outburst of pride in both England and the colonies.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    prohibited colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains after they fought for that land.

    British troops had moved from Boston toward Lexington and Concord to seize the colonists' military supplies and arrest revolutionaries.

    Battle of bunker hill
    The battle is named after Bunker Hill in Charlestown, Massachusetts, which was peripherally involved in the battle. They came back with more people and defeated them.
