    The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war. In the Treaty of Paris, Britain gained control of land previously owned by the French.The French were driven out of North America by the British and the British also gained control of spanish florida.

    On April 5,1764 Parliament passed a renewed version of the sugar and molasses act (1733)which was about to expire.

    The battle of Lexington and Concord was started because John Hancock and other colonial leaders were trying to governed Mass without the help of Thomas Gage.So on April 19,1775 war erupted into towns outside of Boston.Thomas Gage started the battles by sending troops to arrest Hancock and Samuel Adams in Lexington and to seize weapon in Concord
