    The Navigation Acts was a series that restricted colonial trade with Britain. This enriched the British but upset the colonists.

    The Proclamation of 1763 was issued after the French and Indian War and it was when the British prohibited colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains. The colonists disliked this very much. They thought they deserved to live on the land because they had helped pay for the French and Indian War. So as a protest, they ignored it.

    The Declaratory Act was an act of the Parliament of Great Britain. It was accompanied the repeal of the Stamp Act. The colonists ignored this act because they were celebrating the repeal of the Stamp Act.

    A large tax on glass, paper, lead, and tea. The colonists protested, boycotted, and smuggling illegal goods.

    The Boston Massacre was caused by pirates throwing things at the British. They were pelting them with glass and one of the British soldiers shot and this caused the others to shoot. Although the name causes it to sound different, only around 4 or 5 people died in the "massacre".

    Boston port is closed. There was limited town meetings which called for all trade to come from Britain. This caused the colonists to form the First Continental Congress.

    The colonists were given rights to write congress laws. The members were elected by the colonists. Members of the colony government were formed.

    Petition sent to the King by the Second Continental Congress begging him to stop the war. It was unsuccessful and the King still declared war.

    The British troops were sent to take colonial weapons and they ran into the prepare but untrained colonist and the British soldiers were defeated. The colonist were ready because two men warned all the men and the British solider were not ready for them.

The war gave Britain big terrestrial gains but it caused British items to have more of a tax, which later lead into the American Revolution.
