    The Missouri compromise line was used to determine free states from slave states. But after the war with mexico this line caused confusion on which states would and would not be free of slaves. Due to the case of Dred scott vs. Sanford the Missouri compromise is declared unconstitutional.

    Webster was a out spoken congressmen who was against the war with Mexico and the annexation of Texas. Webster endorsed Henry Clay's Compromise of 1850. He was against the expansion of slavery into new territiores. This helped cause the civil war because it angered his pro-slavery critics.

People then moved to these territiores to cast there vote which made it impossible for there to be an accurate result. This led to the civil war because the issue of slavery was being spread into territories where most of the population didn't agree with it.

This insane attack sparked national controversy on the issue of slavery and what the government was really doing about it, leading to the civil war.

    Tubman was the most famous conductor of the underground railroad. In 1856 she was wanted for $40,000. Tubman helped over 300 saves escape slaverym. Her actions caused anger between slave owners and northoners which was a caused of the civil war.

    Dred Scott vs. Sanford was a court case caused by a free slave who sued his owner for his freedom. Because of Chief Jusice, Roger B Taney, Dred Scott was ruled he was not and will never be a citizen. This caused issues, such as, Being in a free territory did not make a slave free. This declared the Missouri compromise as unconstitutional. The extension of slavery was granted.
