Was from 1820 to 1848, involved people like Lewis Cass, and David Wilmot, things that took place was the Election of 1848 and the slavery ban, it was at the Mexican Cession, and this only happened because there wasn't a balance between the Southerners and the Northerners

It happened in the 1820's and later, Involves people like David Wilmot and Politicians, a proposal to ban slavery took place here, it took place at the Mexican Cession just like the Missouri Compromise, the reason this all started was because David being an abolitionist he wanted to resolve this slavery issue so he went over to the Mexican territories to make a compromise.

    The Fugitive Slave Act
Happen in the 1850's, some people involved were Senator Calhoun and Harriet B. Stowe, it took place at multiple states like California and more, it happened because too many slaves were escaping and some people like Calhoun believe that slave owners property should be returned to them (rude). Since this happened, people like escaped slaves and abolitionist rebelled.
  • Uncle Tom's Cabin

    Uncle Tom's Cabin
This also happened in the 1850, some people involved were Harriet B. Stowe, and her father who was an abolitionist minister, nothing really took place but the whole process of the fugitive slave act affected the novel itself, it took place a slave society, this whole event happened because of the fugitive slave act. If it wasn't for that act, maybe Harriet's dad would have not been treated so badly.
  • Kansas Nebraska Act / Bleeding Kansas

Kansas Nebraska Act / Bleeding Kansas
It was in 1854, it involves people like Stephen Douglass and Charles Sumner, one thing that happened was war that broke out between the antislavery government and the for-slavery government, it took place at the Nebraska and Kansas territories, once again this event happened because people didn't agree on having slavery or not having it and territories were getting very territorial, and it affected history because the compromise never worked out (until later)
  • The Dred Scott Case

    The Dred Scott Case
It was in 1857, it involves people like Dred Scott a slave trying to sue, it took place in a state where slavery was illegal and at court, this event happened because Dred Scott wanted to sue a court because he was considered himself a free man because he was in a state that slavery was illegal, and it impacted the southerners and northerners

    The Southern Session
The year was ABOUT 1861, people in the Southern states and Abraham Lincoln were involved, what happened was that the southern states formed the Confederate States and they left the union, it took place in southern states like South Carolina, and this only happened because the southerners were mad about the fact that the President and Congress are just relaxed about this slavery thing and so they just basically formed the Confederate states and left the union
