  • Battle at Lexington

    Battle at Lexington
    April 18th, 1775 . As colonists in Boston were on the lookout, Paul Revere, William Dawes, and Samuel Prescott went out the spread the word that “The British Were Coming”. Hence the phrase. The redcoats reached Lexington on April 19. The first battle of the Revolutionary War, only lasted 15 minutes with Britain having the victory.
  • Battle at Concord

    Battle at Concord
    As the British marched to Concord, they found an arsenal that was empty. But as they prepared to march back to Boston, the march became a slaughter. Around 3,000 and 4,000 minutemen had came together now and fired at the redcoats. British soldiers fell by the dozen and blood was spilled. The colonists has now become the enemy.
  • The Battle at Bunker Hill

    The Battle at Bunker Hill
    June 17, 1775. British general Thomas Gage decided to strike on Breed’s Hill on militiamen which is north of the city and near Bunker Hill. The colonists decided to hold their fire until the last minute. Until the first fire, the rest is history. The colonists began to destroy the redcoats until they retreated.

    Summer of 1776. The British sails into the New York with about 32,000 soldiers on deck in attempt to seize the City. The colonists, unfortunately, retreated.
  • Battle at Trenton

    Battle at Trenton
    Christmas night, 1776. In a horrible storm, Washington led 2,400 across the Delaware River into Trenton, New Jersey. They then defeated a garrison of Hessians in a surprise attack.
  • Philadelphia

    Philadelphia
    September, 1777. The British soon regrouped after the surprise attack in Trenton. Then they capture the American Capital in Philadelphia.
  • The Surrender at Saratoga

    The Surrender at Saratoga
    October 17,1777. American troops surrounds General John Burgoyne in Saratoga. He then surrenders which turned out to be a very important part in the American Revolution.
  • Valley Forge

    Valley Forge
    February 1778. Washington and his Continental Army were low on food and supplies. They fought to stay alive in a camp in Valley Forge but more than 2,00 soldiers died.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    Marquis De Lafayette
    February 1778. Marquis De Lafayette came to the rescue to help the Americans out. Him with the help of other European Military leaders, the American Army was unstoppable.
  • Yorktown

    Yorktown
    October 19, 1781. Cornwallis finally surrenders. Thus, leading America into its victory against the British.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    September 1783. The delegates sign the Treaty of Paris. Thus, confirming the independence of America.
