Beowulf was of noble birth, the son of Edgetho and a follower of Higlac, king of the Geats. He is a great warrior, defeating anyone he faces. Hrothgar paid Edgetho's debt for killing a Wulfing warrior. -

Herot is Contructed
Hrothgar, the king of the Danes, constructs a great mead hall known as Herot. People gather here regularly to socialize and have fun. -

Grendel
Herot is a great mead hall constructed by Hrothgar, the king of the Danes. A place where people had fun and socialized, Herot was a symbol of fun and happiness. That is, until Grendel attacked, again and again, killing all those who were inside. Beowulf hears of this disgusting creature, vowing to vanquish it. -

Grendel Attacks
Call to Adventure
Grendel, a fierce and immensely powerful demon, attacks Herot. He attacks at night when all are asleep. He kills everyone in the mead hall, taking the bodies of his victims back to his lair. -

Beowulf, a god-like warrior from the Geats and son of Edgetho, goes to Hrothgar to help eliminate the demon and save Herot from the terror known as Grendel. -

Beowulf defeats Grendel, tearing off the demon's arm. Grendel had lost his strength fighting the Geats and Beowulf, and Beowulf used his incredible power to slay the beast. -

Beowulf Returns to Herot
The Return Home-
Beowulf returns to Herot, with the arm of Grendel. He enters the great mead hall and puts Grendel's severed arm in the rafters of Herot.
