Hinduism's Deities - Religion
The deities from Hinduism religion that is from the religion module have a sense of beauty to them. Though they are not traditional looking to what I am used to, they carry a sense of beauty to them because they look very refined. There is also beauty in the way that Hindus believe and put their faith in the deities. I think it is always beautiful and wonderful to see people have faith and hope in religions. -

The beauty in Hamlet by Shakespeare from the Theater Module is quite easy to find. Hamlet is arguably one of Shakespeare's best works because of its beautiful language, it beautifully conveys emotions as you can clearly see from Hamlet's actions, as well as the interesting plot within the story itself. Shakespeare always has a sense of beauty to every work he writes, and Hamlet is simply another example of it. -

Minoan Civilization's structure that's known at the Knossos Palace of Minoan's from the Classical Studies has beauty to it because of the simplistic structure to it. The color scheme is iconic and with the consistent swirls there is almost a hypnotic sense to the beautiful painting that makes any viewer or admirer want to not look away. It's spherical shape is very modern especially for its time. The purpose for the building is scientific and was built as an astrophysical observatory for the sun's gravitational field. Even it's purpose has a sense of beauty to it as it is beautiful for humans to want to know about what surrounds us and how curious and exploring humans can be. -

"Mood Indigo" by Duke Ellington is timeless and the beauty within it can be expressed and seen in many ways. "Mood Indigo" has a beautiful melody to it that captures listeners and gives a sense of comfort to those listening. The song also emotionally moves those who play it and those who listen to it, beautifully capturing one of the most important meanings of music. -

The "Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali has a sense of beauty to it because of its dreamlike imagery. The painting also brings out the true meaning of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" since there is no true meaning behind it, and there are only inferences and personal beliefs on what it means. I believe that the surrealism shown in the painting displays the timelessness in the desert and the timeless beauty displaying that time is only but a concept. -

Though it is hard to find beauty in the horrible events in World War II (History Module) there are some aspects in where beauty can be found. For example, during the time of the Holocaust that took place towards the end of the war, people would hide Jews in their homes and safe spaces knowing the consequences. The Bicycle Thief, a film that surrounds a man getting his bicycle stolen while working at the era of Italian neorealist movement may not have a sense of beauty at first glance. After certain moments in the film, you can see the beauty in the connection between the father and his son, and even in how the movie depicts real life problems. The beauty in friendship and kindness is also shown throughout the movie. -
