    The colony of New South Whales was found. According to Arthur Phillips commission of 25 April 1787 the area of the colony extended westward from the east coast 135th meridian of longitude east and also included "all the island's adjacent in the pacific ocean". This included all of New Zealend exept the south half of the south island.

    Van Diemen's
    The boader of New South Whales was moved further westward to the 129th meridian east. On the 3rd of December 1825, Van Diemen's land was proclaimed a colony.
