    Auguste Comte was born in Montpellier, France on the 19 of January in 1798.

    Auguste Comte was ranked fourth in his class at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 1814. After the school closed Comte began working with Henri De Sainte-Simon as his secretary. This is where Comte began his career in politics and writing articles that helped gain some public popularity. Seven years later Comte and Sainte-Simon broke ties and Comte went on to write his own book of positivism.

    Teaching what he preached

    Comte began teaching "Course of Positive Philosophy". This course according to Auguste consisted of three stages that would set the path of religion disconnecting from science. First stage is Theological- This is religion without science- People in this time believe all natural events are the work of a higher power. Second stage- Metaphysical- Where religion and science merge "abstract power guides events in the world". Third- Positive Stage- This is separation of religion from science.

    New Calendar Proposal

    Comte introduced a new calendar "The Positivist" that would consist of 13 months, each 28 days with an additional day celebrating the dead, which kept 365 days to the year. Comte wanted to create a new "religion" that in relation to this calendar, each day of the week would celebrate and recognize an individual on his or her work to science. The purpose of this was to have idols that were real to "worship" and have a sence of community that people gained from old ways of religion.

    The new frontier
    Auguste Comte opened a door through his philosophy of science by separating science from religion. Although diagnosed clinically insane his work lead other famous scientists in developing new theories. For example, Sigmund Freud psychoanalytic theory of personalities argues that behavior is the result of the ID, Ego and Superego. Another example is Darwinism theory created by Charles Darwin and others which is the theory of evolution of species by natural selection.
