Eastern Europe after the Roman Empire

The Byzantine Empire arose after the Roman Empire. They built buildings similar to that of Roman buildings and were heavily influenced by them. After sometime is the 6th century, instead of Latin the main language was Greek. Being able to speak Greek made the Empire more advanced. This is a result in a change, although the Byzantine was heavily influenced by the Romans they become much more advanced and established a new language to speak in the empire.
