    n this election, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson verse off again for the presidency. Almost 70% of the electoral college voted for Jackson, making him win by a landslide.

    This is the political struggle that developed over the issue of rechartering the Second Bank of the United States. Occuring from 1829 to 1837, the reason Jackson was fighting was because the president of the bank was using it in an unonstitutional way, and that went against everything that the bank was for. The impact was that is suspended alot of banks were suspended, and unemployment was high at this time.

The impact was that the government almost ruined the economy because of just one tarrif.
