    These Olympic Games are held every four years in Athens.One year a man showed up with no clothes on so it became a thing for the Olympics,therefore married women could not attend. These Olympics were in tribute to Zeus.

    The Persian War
    This war is between the Athens and Spartans that joined together and the Persians. The Persians were really good and killing many on the other side so some of the Spartans and Athenians and 300 Spartan soilders stayed back to hold back the Persian pass. At the end of the battle all of the 300 Spartan soilders that stayed back all died

    Pericles

    Pericles
    Pericles was the Athenian leader for the Peloponnesian war against Sparta and he thought he had a good chance in winning. But in the end he fled to Sparta after his army was split and was told to go back to Athens and he showed the Athenians plans for the battle to the Spartan army but didn't trust him so he fled to Persia and the same thing happened there, but he lived the rest of his life in Persia.

    This was a war between Sparta and Athens. Pericles, the Athenian leader told everybody to leave their homes and come behind the city walls. The Spartans burned all of the crops in the fields and after a while they had no food so they retreated and the athenians attacked them when they got home.Sparta won after Athens surrendered.

    Alexander was one of Aristotle's students and was the son of King Phillip the second. his father was assassinated and Alexander became king when he was only 20.He wanted to defeat his fathers biggest rival the Persians so he challenged them with a battle of only 35,000 men.Alexander was great in battle he was conquering many states off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea but he went into battle with the Persians and they had the most powerful weapons........ELEPHANTS!!!!

    this library was located in Egypt. It held over 200,000 scrolls then after a while they had 700,000 scrolls. For many years this was the center of learning this is also where Ptolemy worked on his theory on how the stars and the sun orbit around the earth. Then sadly it was destroyed by robberies,invasions,and fires.
