George Washington was the one who started the French and Indian war. The British won the war and they took control over the lands that had been claimed by the French.

    This is were the colonist started to fight back against the British which was the main purpose of the speech to convince everyone to help fight against the British. Patrick also said that their presence is not for the protection of the colonists but rather for the enforcement of British colonial rule.

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord were considered a major military victory and displayed to the British and King George III that unjust behavior would not be tolerated in America. This was the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill happened because the British decided to take two hills, Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill, in order to gain a tactical advantage. The American forces heard about it and went to defend the hills. The British won the battle of Bunker Hill even though they lost a lot of soldiers during the battle.
