    The 1st Continental Congress was held in response to the Intolerable Act.
  • Declaration of Rights and Grievances

    The Declaration of Rights and Grievances was brought up by a man named John Dickinson. It opposed the Stamp Act and stated who had a right to tax the citizens.
  • Lexington and Concord

    There was a big tension between the 13 colonies and British authorities.
  • Bunker Hill

    A battle led by Colonel William Prescott, Colonel John Stark and General Israel Putnam. One of the famous lines were "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!"
