    American Colonists dumped tea in the ocean because they were told that they could only buy tea from the East India Trading company and had to pay high taxes for the tea (Tea Act).

    All thirteen colonies were represented this time because Georgia joined. This congress acted like a government , printing its own money, getting loans, and raising money.

    The thirteen colonies in the America's had been at war with Britain for around a year when the Second Continental Congress decided it was time for the colonies to officially declare their independence. This meant that they were breaking away from British rule. They would no longer be a part of the British Empire and would fight for their freedom. I think they were inspired by the Enlightenment thinkers
