Stamp Act
Created and imposed on the American Colonies by the British Parliment. this act was a tax of all paper the colonists used from regular writing paper to playing cards and ship records. the colonists werent so much mad about the price of the tax but the fact that Great Britian was trying to raise money in the colonies without legeslative permission. -
First Continental Congress
Meeting called to talk about how they disliked Great Britian and how they were gonna expresse their feelings. -
Second Continental Congress
this meeting was called to figure out how the colonies were going to respond to the British military threat. they soon decided we would defend ourselves and that a continental army would be assembled to fight the imperial army. they also named their commander and chief Mr. George Washington. -
Battle of Saratoga
5,895 British Troops surrendered their arms to colonist fources at the battle of Saratoga which marked a turning point in the American Revolution. -
