    The Stamp Act was passed by the British parliament. It caused the American Colonists to pay tax. The Stamp Act was viewed as a direct attempt by England to raise money in the colonies without the approval of the colonists legislature.     The Boston Massacre was one of the events that helped lead to the revolutionary war. The Boston Massacre was between the British and the colonists. What caused the Boston massacre? The colonists would tar the British and then put feathers on them, through hard icy snowballs, and boycott. The colonists where upset about the tax.     The Tea Act is also a small event that lead to the Revolutionary war. The main purpose was to help the East India Company. The company gave the colonist access and control over the tea sales in the colonies. The colonists declined there offer therefor the Boston Tea Party happened.     Lexington/ Concord
    The Lexington and Concord started the Revolutionary war. This was happening in Concord and Concord North Bridge. Tension was rising for many years between the American Colonies and the British Authorities. No one even to this day knows who fired the first shot. This is known as the "shot heard around the world." The Colonists won there independence in 1783, after fighting many wars to come.

    Bunker's Hill
    Bunker's Hill is another battle in the Revolutionary War. This battle is between American's and the British, fought at Bunker's Hill in Massachusetts. Although it is called the Battle at Bunkers Hill most of the fighting happened on Breeds Hill. The British take the win. Over 100 American troops killed. The British formed in there lines three different times. After the third reach out by the British the American's fled.

    The Common Sense book by Thomas Pine purposed ordinary people can run a government, you don't need a king/monarch. He wrote this book because he wanted people to fight against the unfair and the unjust ways of the British Parliament. Paine wanted a Democracy because he could see the faults of the Monarchy. He wanted to distribute wealth better and reform the government. He was a fan of the American and French Republics he thought they found the best way to organize public life.
  • Decleration of Independence

    Decleration of Independence
    Thomas Jefferson wrote the Deceleration of Independence. The other representatives of the 13 colonies selected Jefferson to write the Deceleration of Independence because he had the best hand writing. It was quite the process it was nearly a month later it got signed. Although some people didn't even sign at all. The Declaration makes sure we are all free and equal.

    Battle at Trenton
    General Washington planned a brutal attack against the Hessian Garrison. HIs army consists of 2,400 men. Washington some helpers. John Cadwalader and General James Ewing's. They crossed the icy rivers in the winter storm on Christmas day, by the end of there travels neither one of the Generals could carry out there part of the plan.

  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    There were two battles of Saratoga. This was a turning point in the Revolution. Theses battles where fought by the America's and the British. The first victory over America was lead by General John Burgoyne. The British attacked again at Bemis Heights. The Americans won forcing the British to surrender. This convinced the French government to formally recognize the colonists which causes the French to join allies with America.

  • Continental Army wintering at Valley Fotge

    Continental Army wintering at Valley Fotge
    Under command of General George Washington. The sever winter storm caused 11,000 American soldiers to stay at Valley Forge. The surviving solders stood together by loyalty to the General. Washington kept the solders busy by doing military drills and strategy. When the men marched out of Valley Forge in June they where stronger then ever. Winning the victory against the British.

    War in the South/ Chaleston
    The war in Charleston is America's worst defeat. After the siege, South and North Carolina fall to the British. The British gained 3,000 men with some mutations and equipment. The British only lose 250 solders. The British take this battle.

  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    This is the final major event in the American Revolution. General Washington demanding a siege against General Cornwallis. America definitely having more troops then the British. Washington sieges the British both by land and sea. After 3 weeks of endless bombings and shooting, Cornwallis surrendered his troops to George Washington. Ending the war of Independence.
