At noon all divisions and units were in position to attack, who were lead by Theodore Roosevelt. Then at 1:00 PM the approval to invade was made which lead to victory on America's side. -

After the Spanish American war Theodore Roosevelt bragged on how he won the battle of San Juan Hill. This you can say helped him get elected as president after the assassination of President William McKinley.
