    "By getting involved with community activities, you can come into contact with like-minded peers and positive adult role models other than your parents" (Page 4). It is important to be friends with and to interact with role models who have different views than yourself!

    You should always open up your horizons to new opportunities. "Voluntary work and community activities are also great opportunities to show initiative and develop skills to get a job" (Page 5). Put yourself out there and develop new skills that will help you succeed in the long run.

    This also includes getting out there and being involved in a diverse amount of activities, sports, or clubs. "You can learn to deal with challenges, communicate with different people and build up life skills and abilities in a supportive environment. This is also good for your self-esteem" (Page 5). When you are busy, you have less time to stress and worry about other things!
