  • Battledore & Shuttlecock

    Battledore & Shuttlecock
    In this time, battledore and shuttlecock was a very popular game. It is kind of like a historical version of "badminton". It was often played by children rather than teenagers and adults.
  • Cup and Ball

    Cup and Ball
    Also called "Blibo Catcher", this game was also fun for young children. It is essentially a ball attatched to a string that is attatched to a cup. The objective is to get the ball inside the cup.
  • Domioes

    Domioes
    As it is a well known activity now, dominoes made a comeback around 1815 after being made in 1120. Although it was intended for children, people of all ages played and had fun with dominoes.
  • Jackstraws

    Jackstraws
    This game -played by children usually- starts with someone pouring wooden sticks onto the ground in a pile. They then proceed to pick up the sticks one by one without moving the other sticks. If you have more sticks in your pile than the other players, you win. This game was popular throughout 1830.
  • Rocking Horse

    Rocking Horse
    This activity described it's self. It is the same rocking chair that's always been around.
  • Jacob's ladder
