Panama Canal
More than 35,000 workers helped dig the Panama Canal in very difficult conditions. Many of the workers had died from disease or accidents. The point of the Panama Canal was to connect the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. It was not an easy challenge, but it was completed in 1914. -
