    Discovery of America
    In 1492 Christopher Columbus set sail to Japan, however, instead of reaching Asia he hoped, he fund America as well. Although he didn't reach his original destination, thanks to his discovery America was born.
  • The Thirteen Colonies

    The Thirteen Colonies
    The thirteen colonies consisted of Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island. They were the dirst places to be colonized in America and led to the expansion of the states.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    This was took pace between 1754 and 1763 and ended in a victory for Britain. Britains victory resulted in the signing of the Treaty of Paris.
  • Industrial Revolution

    Industrial Revolution
    1760 gave way to another indluential revolution-the Industrial Revolution. This turning point in history was jump started by the invention of machines.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party consisted of a group of rebels dumping many pounds of tea into the Boston Harbor as a result of increased taxation. This was a key factor in the war for freedom.
  • Revolutionary War

    Revolutionary War
    The Revolutionary wa exactly was its name proclaimed it to be: revolutionary. It was during this war that the original thirteen colonies gained freedom from Britain. That war was long, the war was hard, but because of it we are free.

    The Constitution is the driving force behind America. This document describes the founding principles of America, and though it has been amended many times, it has been around America's conception.
  • Lewis and Clark Expedition

    Lewis and Clark Expedition
    Lewis and Clark were two expeditioners who took a crew down the Mississippi River to explore the new land aquired through the Lousiana Purchase. Joined by many men and an Indian guide named Sacajawea, they explored the new territory and aided in the expansion of the US.

    The Missouri Compromise was a regulator between Pro and Anti Slavery faction in the West. It was created to keep te balance in those territories.

    Bleedig Kansas was one of themost influential factors leading to the Civil War. A squirmish between sopporters and abolishiners of slavery resulting in many violent outbreaks that in turn led to the start of the Civil War.
