    North America -The Paleo Indians

    The paleo Indians crossed the Bering land bridge to Alaska. They migrated there and they were hunter-gatherers

    Africa- The Africans

    The Olmec is the first The mayans grew maizes and other crops and lives in small villages. They trade with the Olmec. They were also building large cities. The mayans collapsed but no one knows the reason. In 1100 the aztecs moved to Mexico. They conquered a lot of cities. By the early 1500 they were the strongest state in mesoamerica. Incans began as a small tribe. But they began to expand their empire and stretched along the pacific coast .

    Greek- The Greek government

    The Greeks valued human reason and believed in the power of the human minds to think explain and understand life. They created the republic which is called democracy in modern day.

    Roman- Roman government

    The Roman kind of followed the Greeks. They were called the Roman republic but it was democracy.

    West Africa- Trading country in west Africa

    There were three kingdoms that was powerful in trades. Ghana was the first one. They controlled the west africa trading route. Mali was the second one. Mansa musa ,the most famous ruler of mali, added many important trade cities like Timbuktu, Djenné and Gao into his empire. Songhai empire was the last for the three. Askia the great during Mali weakening they grew stronger. Askia the great made Timbuktu and gao flourished.

    The anasazi lived in North America. They lives in pueblos or aboveground house made of a heavy clay called adobe. They also built the kivas ,an underground ceremonial chambers.

    North America -Vikings reaching North America

    The Vikings were the first European that made contact with North America. They raided countries throughout europe and even created large trading network. Leif Erickson, the son of Erik the red, landed on the North America coast by a strong wind which was later named Canada.

    America- The Columbian Exchange.

    The columbian exchange was started with columbus's exploration. It's the trade between Asia, Europe and Africa with America. It dramatically changed the world.

    Spain- Columbus sailing across the Atlantic

    Christopher Columbus, a sailor from genoa, asked the king and queen of Spain to pay his expedition across the Atlantic. It took several years but in the end they accepted it and they decided to support him. Columbus's three ships--- the niña, the pinta and the Santa Maria. It took them four months. He went three times to America throughout his life and died without knowing it wasn't Asia.

    Spain- Spanish Conquistadors.

    The spanish sent conquistadors which were soldiers who led an expedition in the Americas. They conquered the Aztec empire because of their advanced weapon and armor

    Europe- events in Europe

    the protestants reformation was started by a German priest named martin luther. it was to protest against some of the catholic church's practice. Spain and England had a war. It was started by sea dogs raiding spanish treasure ships. the most successful one was sir francis drake. It angered the King philip. Then they fought.

    Africa -The slave trade

    The Spanish government legalized slave trade in its own colony. The middle passage is what the enslaved Africans have to endure when the voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. The slave trade led to the African diaspora which is enslaved African were sent all across the worlds.
  • Virginia- Jamestown colony

    105 colonist found Jamestown which is the first permanent English settlement in North America.
  • Massachusetts- Mayflower compact

    It's a legal contract in which they agreed to have fair laws to protect the general good. It was created by 41 male passengers on the ship. They were pilgrims
  • Virginia- War in Virginia

    A colonist kills a Powhatan leader . The Powhatan responded with a war that lasted 20 years. Powhatan won and they became a royal colony and existed under the authority of a goverener chosen by a king.
  • England- The great migration

    The great migration that was lead by john Winthrop, more than 40,000 puritans migrated to Massachusetts
  • Maryland- Maryland colony

    Cecilius , Calvert's son became the second lord Baltimore. He named the colony , that his dad established, Maryland which was in honor of England's queen. He also made the toleration act of 1649. It showed that government wanted to offer religious freedom.
  • New York and New Jersey

    The dutch found the new Netherland as a trading post for exchanging furs with the Iroquois. But in 1664, an English fleet captured the undefended colony of new Amsterdam which new netherland was in it. It was renamed to New York and the New Netherland was renamed to New York City.

    France- The French and Indian war

    The tension had arise between new England and the Wampanoag. The tension erupted in 1675 and they had a war known as the king phlip's war.it last for an year, but only after 3000 indian got killed and 600 colonist got killed.
  • Pennsylvania- Penn's colony

    William Penn, one of the society of friends or the Quakers, was grant a charter to begin a colony west of new jersey by King Charles. The colony was later know as Pennsylvania. He also promised religious freedom to all Christians.
  • Europe- enlightenment

    During the 1600s, european began to reexamine their world. This movement, called enlightenment, took place at 1700s, spread ideas that reason and logic could improve society.
  • Boston- Committees of Correspondence

    Samuel Adams found this committee. It's member shared idea and information about the new british laws and ways to challenge other colonies or town.
  • Modern day example- All the colonies of america

    They formed the thirteen colonies which changes the world. they made america a country.
  • modern day example- The Columbian Exchange

    It's like the shopping malls. You exchange money with items in the shops
  • Modern day example- roman and greek government

    These two types of government changed the world's government view. They used the Greek way to vote on who is the right person to lead the country. After that, the leader would use the roman way to lead the country to glory.
