    Louis Zamperini from the movie unbroken, served in the army from 1941-1945. During this time he made it through a plane crash intthe ocean, over 30 days floating in the sea with one other man (the other man didn’t make it), and different Japanese military camps.

    A surprise attack on the U.S. from Japan. Dropping bombs on Pearl Harbor four 45 minutes.
  • Desmond Doss

    Desmond Doss
    Desmond Doss was a combat medic who fought at hacksaw ridge. During the night time, after the U.S. had retreated down the ridge, Doss remained where he was and brought over 75 men down the ridge with a rope. He even saved the lives of some Japanese men. However through it all, he was not allowed to carry a gun. His morals did not let him carry a gun so he didn’t have much way to protect himself. He served from 1942-1946.
