    The 17th Amendment was ratified. This amendment was made so that all of the senators could be elected by a popular vote of the United States citizens.

    The Assembly line was created by Henry Ford in 1913. This revolutionized the way industries produced their goods forever. It changed the way people around the world did their jobs.
  • US enters WWI

    The United States decided to join WWI against Germany after many indirect attacks on the American people. After the sinking of the Lusitania, many Americans decided that it was time to join the war.
  • The Lusitania

    The Lusitania was a ship that sunk as a result of the German U-boats. These boats were the only think that gave Germany a significant advantage in the war. This was one of the things that got Americans really encouraged to fight in the war.
  • WWII Ends

    Germany signed the Treaty of Versailles which officially brought WWI to an end in 1918.
  • Red Scare

    The Red Scare began at the very end of WWI after the war had ended. This was a very anti-communist group that warned people of the possible dangers that they might see with new ideas.
