    Many Indians decided that they were tired of white Americans taking control over their land, so they wanted to do something about it. The Indians decided to start a war with the Americans, but the Americans were quickly out-numbered. This was a major victory for the Indians.

    The Compromise of 1877 happened between U.S. Congressmen that argued the previous presidential election. The last troops in the south were withdrawn which ended the Reconstruction Era.

    Congressed passed restrictions on Chinese immigration due to large numbers coming into America. This act was implemented from ten years.
  • The Great Oklahoma Land Rush

    At the sound of a canon, people were released to go claim the land that they wanted in the Oklahoma area. The economy was at an all-time low at the time, so people were very eager to claim land.
  • Spanish-American War

    This war was won by the United States and it allowed them to have full control over Cuba. It also ceded sovereignty on Guam, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.
