On January fourth 1865, this was the first day the new york stock exchange opened. This headquarters actually opened right next to wall street. -
First phone
March 10th 1876 the first telephone was invented by Alexandra Graham Bell. He made his first call on this same date to Thomas Watson. -

On March 12th 1894 this is when coke first started selling their product in bottles. -

Pepsi was invented in 1898 and was originally put on the market to calm peoples digestive problems. -

WW1
After ww1 there were more jobs for women that were not previously available. Another thing that had changed was great Britain getting into much debt because of the amount of money they had spent on the war. -
"kwanon"
From 1933 to 1936 the prototype of the Kwanon camera was being developed. This is the name of a Buddhist goddess. In 1935 the name was changed to Canon to be more appealing and make more sales to customers. -
WW2
At the end of this war the European economy had came to an end, or has collapsed. This war brought new ideas and technology for weapons and things of that nature for later wars. -
Sony
Sony is derived from sonus which in latin means sony boy and that in japan means a presentable young man. I feel this was a good business tactic to increase sales. -
WD-40
WD-40 got its name from 39 attempts to make the product and on the 40th try they obviously got it right. It was invented in 1953 although there is no exact date. -
Mustang
In 1968 the"350 hp" Shelby Mustang came out. In all reality it was estimated to be over 400 horse power. Carroll Shelby lied about the horse power to get people lower insurance rates so more people would buy this car. -
Answering Machine
The first digital answering machine was made by Dr. Kazuo Hashimoto in 1983. It wasn't until 1991 that the were on the market. -
