Arriving to Roanoke Island!
During 1585, the Queen decided to let Walter Raleigh to send 100 men to Roanoke island because they thought it would be a perfect place to settle! -
All 100 men went back to England!
All of the food and water had run out so all the men decided to go back to England. 15 men came with supplies and decided to stay there in a fort. -
The 15 men were killed!
John White went back to see the 15 men in the fort, but found out they were all killed. Simon Fernandez (The one in charge of John White) insisted on bringing more people back to Roanoke Island. John White followed his command and brung 100 more men and women to Roanoke island. -
Croatoan?
John white had to leave Roanoke Island to get more supplies for all the people. A while pasts, and John White finally comes back, but only to see everything deserted. The word "Croatoan" was carved into a tree. White then tried to find the Croatoan Village, but a hurricane sent him back to England. -
Another 100 people?
!00 men came to the banks if Virginias's James River. They were immediately attacked, but they insisted on staying. After the Pohawtan's nation almost killed John Smith, the daughter of the chief stepped in. Because of this, there was peace between the two groups. -
The death of John Smith.
After coming back to the New England Colonies, John Smith became very ill. In the end, he passed way. -
Pocahontas gets arrested!
Pocahontas had heard about John Smith's death and decided to come back. Pocahontas got arrested because her father had weapons belonging to the other group. She then got converted to Christianity and got married to John Rolfe. -
The Southern Colonies form!
The Southern Colonies finally become official and in 1619 it finally has it's first elected assembly! African American workers started to come and so did slavery. . When having slaves died off, people started to capture people from Africa just to do their biddings. -
The start of the New England Colonies!
The Mayflower gets released and the people (Pilgrims) on board of the ship had to live with very harsh conditioned. There were 200 people on beard and sadly their was one death.Of course, there was a birth too! The baby was named Oceanus Hopskin! When the Mayflower finally docked after 2 months, all their supplies had ran out. Some Pilgrims even ended up dying! A Native American that actually spoke english saved all the Pilgrims from their misery. -
The start of the Middle Colonies!
On 1681, King Charles ll had to owe William Penn's father for a loan, but he decided to give William Penn land in the New World. William promised to give peace and freedom to anybody who came to his newly owned land. The Land started to form The Middle Colonies! The Middle Colonies produced a lot of wheat so they made bread which is whaat they were known for. They also shipped goodies to other colonies! All was happy at the Middle Colonies.
