  • 18th Amendment

    Alcohol or intoxicating liqours, were not alowed to be sold after one year of this amendment. It was ratified on Jan 16,1919. The amendment did not ban the consumption on sales was banned.
  • Volstead Act

    Also known as the Ntional Prohibition Act. It prohibited intoxicating beverages, sales, making, and gave an amount to scientific research.
  • Palmer Raids

    A. Mitchell Palmer, was an Attourney General, who raided and arreseted certain political radicals. He had them deported.
  • Lenin and the Communist State/ Red Scare

    Communist state, is an economy were power is in one political party or dominant party. Marxism-Lennism was made from communist parties.
  • 19th Amendment Ratified

    This act gave voting rights to women. This gave any U.S. citizen, that have become age, the right to vote. This did not affect gender.
  • Teapot Dome Affair

    The Teapot Dome Affair took place between 1921-1924. The Teapot Dome is and oil field. It's location is in Wyoming. Teapot Dome affair or scandal, was becuase of Senator Albert B. Fall. He was taking bribes, on leasing the area.
  • National Origins Act

    In 1924, an act was passed called National Origins Act. It limiteed the ammount of immigrants that were from any country to 2% from the people already living in the U.S.
  • Scopes Trial

    State of Tennesse versus. Scopes. A case taken place in 1925, for a high school biology teacher named John Scopes. He was accused of violating the Butler Act, by teaching evolution. This case brought up controversy between The Bible and modern science.
  • Charles Lindbergh Crosses the Atlantic

    Charles Lindbergh was born on Feb 4,1902 in Detroit,Michigan. On May 20 he left New York on a one perosn aircraft to Paris reaching on May 21. It was non-stop flight. He was given the Medal Of Honor for his tremendous flight.
  • Sacco & Vanzetti Trial

    Bartolomeo Vanzetti and Ferdinado Nicola Socca, was convicted of killing two men. It was robbery which took place in 1920 in South Braintree, Massachusetts. They were tried and executed on August 23,1927.
  • 1st Talking Moive Released

    The first ever talking movie was realeased in Oct 6,1927. It was a american musical film. The main star is Al Jolson. This movie was produced by Warner Bros. ,which is still around today.
  • Herbert Hoover Elected President

    President Herbert Hoover was elected in 1929 as the 31st President of the U.S. He was in office startign on March 4th,1929 till March 4th,1933. He was president at the time of Crash of 1929.
  • Stock Market Crash

    Wall Street Crash of 1929. Stock market had soared but, setlling prices decline. People took in on the payment options of credits. Which caused the crash, Black Thursday and BLack Tuesday.
