  • Treaty Ending French and Indian War

    Treaty Ending French and Indian War
    This ended the French and Indian War. It took place in Paris. The Bitish had won all the land. The colonists now wanted to settle out in the Ohio River Valley.
  • Proclomation of 1763

    Proclomation of 1763
    This kept the colonists from settling west of the Appalahian Mountains. King George III had made a deal with the indians that if they stopped helping the French the indians could have all of the land west of the Appalachian Mountains. The proclomation had made the colonists really mad.
  • Stamp Act

    This was to pay for the French and Indian War. It was a tax on printed papr. It was taxation without represintation though. Parliament had passed this act withot the colonists say. It made the colonists really mad. The Sons of Liberty burned all the stamps.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Thee Boston Massacre started when some colonists started teasing British soldier. More colonists came and started hurting the soldier so the soldier called for help and mre soldiers came. The Boston Massacre wasn't even a massacre, only five colonists died because a gun went off so the soldiers thought their commander had told them to fire. They fired and killed fve colonists.

    This was when Samuel Adams and Paul Revere dresed up as indians and dumped all the tea into the Boston Harbor. They didn't want to pay for British tea. It was another event that led up to the American Revolution.
  • First Continental Congress

    This meeting took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All of the colonies except Georgia came. Patrick Henry gave his ''Give me lberty or Give me Death'' speech at this meeting. They came to discuss athe things going on.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    At Lexington the redcoats won. At Concord the patriots killed about 100 British redcoats. At Concord the colonists had shot the British from behind buildings and trees. It was the first battle of the American Revolution.
  • Declaration of Independance

    This document declared the colonie's independnce from Great Britain. Thomas Jefferson had help writing it from Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. It was approved on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    This was whee the patriots had their first major victory. They had savatoged the British soldier's plan of cutting off the north from the rest of the colonies. The patriots fought them at Saratoga, New York. It was the turning point of the Revolutionary War.
  • Victory at Yorktown

    Victory at Yorktown
    This was the last major battle of the Revolutionary War. The Americans won. Cornwallis surrendered by sending out a drummer and a white flag. George Washington refused to take Cornwallis's sword.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    This is the document that ended the Revolutionary War. It took two years to come up with an agreement. This document made the United States a country. It took pace in Paris.
